Background.
History:
Mai Colby was to be expecting triplets. You can almost imagine the excitement that was going around when they found out. Triplets! Triplets! Triplets! How amazing!
In the earliest of the morning was Mai rushed into emerge. It was the first of September that she gave birth to her three dear boys. The first one born was given the name Alvin Bo.
Alvin was never much of a talker. In fact he didn't even enjoy conversing with people, other then his brothers, when he was younger. He simply refused to talk to them. He thought they were annoying. These annoying people were usually relatives, admiring the trio with their pinching of the cheeks and breathtaking hugs.
He was most often found playing in the sandbox in the backyard. Or sitting in the great maple tree in the front yard, watching everyone who walked by.
Public school came and he kept adiquet grades, usually ranging from a -C to a B+. He was never much of an overachiever. His A's resided in art class.
When Alvin was in grade four he took up skateboarding. He can't do any amazing tricks, but he does know a few. For the most part he just likes it as a type of transportation.
At the age of twelve his parents got a divorce. It was all out of the blue and it ripped his heart in two. He didn't understand it one bit. They had been a perfectly well off family. His father working as a manager in a shoe factory and his mother, an artist of many great paintings and sculptures. As well as their dear troublesome trio. But one day Delroy came home a hollering wreck and all havoc broke loose. Finally he stormed out of the house and never did return. Of course, he did, after two months, divorce sheets in hand.
This episode in Alvin's life left him in such a confused state of mind he sunk even deeper into his pit. He never talked about it though, and never cried, afraid that he would get made fun of. For who cried when in pain?
When the boys were in grade eight they discovered that the reason behind the divorce was because Delroy had an affair with another woman. He impregnated her and thought that it a wise choice to be there for the baby, as a father. But did he not see his three boys? Did he not care for them? Alvin would never know. He never talked to his father. He despised the man. It disgusted him. Delroy had not only pained him and his brothers. He had pained his mother. Alvin wouldn't have it. In his eyes it was a completely unnecessary move made by Delroy.
Now, from the time Alvin was quite young until he was eleven he had been quite close with his father. Out of all of the boys it was Alvin who spent the most time with him. He loved his mother too, but his father was something extra special to him. He loved to watch his father build things, or cook supper. Sometimes he'd ride on the lawnmower with him. They were best buds. But Delroy destroyed that relationship with his son in a few short moves on the checker board.
Never again would he trust another so closely.
...Except for Addison, whom he became closer to at this time. Alvin practically leaned on poor Addison for support. He doesn't any more though. All of who he used to be was completely turned off and he ignored everyone, concealing himself in a lonely world of just Alvin Bo Colby.
But wait...THERE'S MORE!
A good five struggling years after the incident of their father's leave did their mother find a charming man. Not only was he charming but filthy rich. He owned a big time business for recording music. They eventually married and had a daughter. She was named Ava. She had bright blue eyes as well as ringlet blond hair.
The step father's name is Rick Ryans.
