The school thought he was a mental case, confused and disturbed because of his father's behavior, never having a motherly figure in his life and this led him to strive to be seen, so basically they pitted him. The students thought he just wanted attention or he was just simply an ass. In truth, all Sai Nagori wanted was just entertainment, and to hear people scream. He didn't care who it was that realized he existed, he was used to blending in with the scenery, that's what home life was like, why should he expect any different?
He inhaled the crisp morning air, the light breeze tossed his locks about. The grounds below were covered in morning dew and it seemed to glisten in the early sun. They were uninhabited as usual, after all he was probably one of maybe five that were present at the school, not including the teachers; even they had more of a life than Sai did. Though for Sai, it was mainly because he was fairly new to this place, it wasn't that he was immune to making friends, it just took a while. It didn't help that out of the couple months he spent here, he'd spent most of the time either skipping or just suspended for the few pranks he was caught doing. But one of the major facts was that he handled explosives, which wasn't exactly the greatest way to attract other people.
Sai pulled the Camel Menthol Wides out of his pocket, pulled one of the sweet rolls from the case and let it rest between his lips while he flipped another one up and switched the pack with a zippo lighter that read "I Have A Dick So I Make Up The Rules" in neon green. Opening it the flame caught and he pulled it to the end of the cigarette, inhaling the chemicals that only fed the growing invader inside his lung. With the lighter put away he peered over the edge, wondering what his next big prank would be. Usually he had things set up by now, but his latest jokes were becoming old and he felt that it was time for change.
His DCs shuffled along the edge, left hand digits shoved comfortably in his Bring Me The Horizon band hoodie while the other kept his cancer stick. His mind was racing with new plans and some he let slip away into the dark pool inside his head, finding them to be either to expensive or just insufficient. He didn't want it to be a master prank, just something new, something that he'd never totally done. Maybe he just needed a bigger crowd instead of the usual morning victims that happen to trip his wire that set off the fireworks or spring the cherry bombs.
Sai took a seat on the edge, his feet carelessly dangling over the edge. Visionaries left the sight of the grounds, finding themselves staring into the sky, searching for pictures in the clouds. He felt like a muse less writer; an uninspired musician; caught in very small hole that made thinking nearly impossible. This was rare thing for him, he'd only had few occasions like this, when he didn't know what he should do, and he detested every moment of it.
There was a sudden squeak that pulled him back down to the surface. A small gray rat was staring at him, his bright beady eyes looking at him with unexpected curiosity. Sai jumped, the rat was unmoved. It wasn't so much as he was afraid, he just wasn't expecting to see a rodent running around. The grey mass of fur moved towards him, Sai returned back to his passive state, looking forward figuring the rat wouldn't be of much harm as long as he left it in peace. But no, it crawled up his leg and sat there, staring up at him as if it was demanding his attention and wouldn't leave until he was petted. Pork-chop quirked a brow, he had had an albino rat once, but it escaped and never came back. But petting a wild rat was pretty stupid but it would definitely be his first. Though Sai was indifferent, he could move and the rat might bite him because of his defiance or he could give in and settle for bacteria infested hands.
"Either your very brave or just retarded. I don't care if your there but if you bite me I will throw you over this edge," Sai warned with dark humor. Pork-chop inhaled his cigarette one last time, a puff of smoke escaping from his lips as he scraped it on the rough surface, the flames inside burning out. He flung it below, a drop that he would never be able to live and upon realizing that, a familiar fear gripped him. Someone could come up behind him, scare him and he could fall. Or he could simply slip, or try to catch his shoe because it came off accidentally. Either way he'd be dead.
'No, no. Worry is the misuse of imagination, I have better things to use that for...' he mused, but it was nearly impossible for Sai to shake his perpetual and ironic fear of death. He began petting the rat who was content on just sitting on his leg and watching the wind move between the blades of grass below. It was obvious the rat had to have been tamed at one point, he had no magical talents with animals...so who then?

Mornings were the worst. She hated having to get up so early just to come to school. It was a real pain. Why couldn't they start school later in the day and just have it run later in the evening. It would make more sense. She did better learning as the day went on. But mornings she was usually in a sour mood and if she wasn't in a sour mood she would simply be insociable or awkward to talk to. She left her attitude to be about as blunt as it could possibly get. That is, if she even bothered talking to people.
When she had first moved to Faer Lake, after the tragic death of her parents, her Aunt Sally would wake her up in the earliest of mornings and ask her to go out for a walk with her. They usually walked out to the beach, where they would sit down on the swings and just talk. She loved the talks they had. It made her feel more loved. More, at home.
She was seated right next to the door. It was always where she sat before classes started. This way nobody would see her. Usually if somebody swung the door open too wide she got hit with it, but it scared them off so that she was left on her own, which she liked better anyways.
She inhaled lightly, but almost gaged as she did so, for a large puff of smoke came swirling into her lungs.
"Either your very brave or just retarded. I don't care if your there but if you bite me I will throw you over this edge," Came a warning voice with a tone of dark humor. Aly looked up to see a male sitting out yonder, a small mouse...or perhaps a rat on his leg and a cigarette in hand. She frowned, disgusted. A cigarette was one thing, but to have a rat on your knee was just a negative mixture. If it weren't for the cigarette in his hand and the swarm of smoke around him she would probably think it cute. A lonely guy sitting there talking to a rat. But the fact that she was currently receiving secondhand smoke did not brighten her morning enthusiasm.
"I didn't think people were supposed to smoke on school properties." she muttered, loud enough for the male to hear.

The rat's ears perked up, an intruder. He shifted nervously on Sai's leg, sniffing a new gust of wind. Sai quirked a brow, not realizing his morning musings were about to be disturbed and a new turn of events were about to unfold, one that he would have never guessed on at that.
There was coughing sound from behind, just as he let the cigarette go. He turned around as the rat let out a loud squeak and scurried away. Sai glanced at that rat, somewhat said to see it leave, then turned to the coughing adolescent. A female, she was very petite and had choppy golden orange hair that concealed the left side of her face. She was cute, that was a given. Sai looked at her blankly, curious to know what had brought her up to these lonely rooftops.
"I didn't think people were supposed to smoke on school properties," she mumbled. Sai suppressed an eye roll, he just had to meet with a conformist, didn't he? He wouldn't have cared if she was a non-smoker, it was a good thing to not intoxicate one's self. Though he would admit that sounded a bit hypocritical on his part but he was sick before he started, so what difference did it make really? But if the new comer was under the assumption that he was going to be hassled about his bad habits she had another thing comin', but Sai had nothing better to do, so he finally settled on playing nice.
"Oh, your not. Your not suppose to do a lot of things, like being up here for instance. This place isn't exactly designated for students," he said, it was nice...for him. Sai tucked one knee under his thigh so he could actually have a proper view of the girl while he was talking to her. Unsure of what to say he twisted his lip ring, finding that he wasn't only lacking the muse to prank people but also to speak.
Abruptly he scrunched his face up in discomfort and pain at the feeling of a dull pain in his chest. 'Shit' he swore mentally. It was his cancer, making him remember that it still existed, that it was still eating away and would never let him live his life to the full extent. He bit his lip, hiding his discomfort, glad that it was only more of an irritation than any real pain he could ever feel. No one knew of his cancer, not one single friend, only his father and his Aunt, the only family he had still alive, and they weren't to concerned, after all they weren't forcing him to keep trying to save his self.

The once peaceful rat let out a loud squeak and scurried away. But now the male looked at her blankly and it made her feel just slightly awkward.
The silence lingered as he remained silent. Not that he had to say anything at all. She hadn't asked him anything. It was more to be considered a comment if anything. So if he didn't say anything, that was fine. She hadn't even intended for her thoughts to come outward. They just did that sometimes. Thinking out loud was a bad habit of hers.
"Oh, your not. Your not suppose to do a lot of things, like being up here for instance. This place isn't exactly designated for students," he said, tucking one knee under his thigh so he was facing her better. Then he began twisting his lip ring around.
Abruptly he scrunched his face up in what seemed to be discomfort and pain. Aly rose an eyebrow for a second, but her face turned from worry to sober in a split second, for it seemed he did not want this sudden discomfort to show.
"Tha's true..." she muttered and even though he voice was quiet the accent she carried was still audible. It seemed that it was starting to fade now. She'd been hanging out with so many bloody Pommy's lately. It couldn't possibly be her fault. At least she knew she would never in fact be a Pom herself.
"But even still...to be lending second hand smoke to an innocent being like myself is a bit rude, don't you think?" she inquired, "Besides, if you were to sit in a certain spot on the roof where you cannot be seen by others it doesn't really matter if you're allowed up here or not. So long as you can get back into the school without being seen," she explained with a small grin poking at her lips, "It looks li'e you didn't even notice me up here. Tha' is...until I coughed of course."
Being unnoticed was something she was used to. She'd grown up with being unnoticed. She hadn't many friends. She usually spent all her free time with her parents. But she couldn't very well do that any more. Not with them being dead. She just had to learn to grow up. Life was full of let downs. But sometimes let downs can be the greatest part of your life. They can lead to new things. Things that you may have never discovered before.
