The Sidewalk was disgusting! Ayden counted squashed gum with distaste. The scattered recyclable cups watched him as he walked by and the small brown lumps of dirt screamed, "Bloody Mary" to his nostrils. Or perhaps that was Dog Feces.
Nevertheless, that was even more gross!
He stopped by a garbage can and looked in. There, he counted multiple things that shouldn't be there [According to him]. Newspaper should be in recycling, as should the paper cups. Banana peels belong in a compost and-
His clothing moved like a ripple in a still pond. It was welcomed with a small ticking noise as he bowed his head to the pink nose that escaped the ruffle. Small black eyes blinked as Ayden began to speak to him.
"Awake already? It's only Three O'clock!"
A small smile crossed the boys face as he took his left hand and gently tapped the nose. It disappeared beneath the clothing and Ayden looked up at a faded sound.
An echo far on the wind, edging closer to his racing heart. A long cry of noise pierced his ears. He felt a shudder beside his body as the climax of the wail passed the two of them.
His eyes were attracted to the shiny red metal as if passed. The ladder on the top crashed against the vehicle as cars slowed and pulled to the sides for a clear catwalk of the model object.
"Wow!" he exclaimed with a drop jaw and wide eyes, "Where's it going?"
He turned his body and ran in a blind excitement, to find where the fire was.

Sophie had been buying a muffin from Tom's Bakery. She'd been so looking forward to it. The mouthwatering taste of dear Tom's fresh baked blueberry muffins was to die for. Of course when she used the expression 'to die for' she didn't mean it in the literal sense! Not at all!
She had just been handed the muffin when a loud blow had come from inside the kitchen and smoke came pouring out of the cracks in the door. Tom had ran in to see what was the matter, only to come back out shortly to be yelling at her to get out, screaming 'SHE'S GUNNA BLOW! We'RE ALL GUNNA DIIIEEE!'
He seemed quite serious about it. But as he slowly and calmly walked to the phone and dialed the well known numbers of 911, Sophie wondered if it really was going to BLOW.
So instead of running out like any normal person would she stood there for a few moments and watched as Tom got the fire department to come to his shop. Her mind was racing with questions at this point, but she daren't ask them now.
Tom the Baker turned to her finally and said, "The fire trucks are on their way." Then an explosion that whipped open the kitchen doors caused her to panic. Smoke and flames came whooshing out, like ants coming out of a wrecked ant hill. She stood there, jaw dropped.
The heat from the fire finally woke her up. She looked around frantically for Tom. He wasn't anywhere to be seen! The girl peered behind the counter, catching sight of the unconsious man.
"Oh my goodness. My my dear. Oh no! WOAH! Crap...gehh." she muttered as she ran around the other side of the counter and checked to see if he was alive, "Mr. Tom sir?" she asked, shaking his shoulders. There was no response.
She grabbed both of his hands and began dragging the fat man out of the bakery. He was heavy. It felt like she was dragging ten sacks of potatoes. Her hands were getting sweaty from the fear running through her. But who wouldn't be scared? The bakery was on fire and there was an unconscious man that she had to drag out. And why weren't the fire trucks here yet? This was supposed to be their job. They were the heros, not her!
She reached the old fashion, wooden door of the bakery. Her arms were strained and felt numb. Her head was going crazy with anxiety. She was just about ready to cry. She hated fire. She didn't even go to bon-fires. She was scared of lighters and fireworks! Everything and anything with a flame, you name it!
She looked up. But there was nothing but black to look at. Thick smoke. Black smoke. Dark. It was her enemy. She could hardly breath and began to feel slightly light headed. But she was almost there! The doorknob was held in one of her hands. She just had to turn it.
Turn the handle...
She did so and the door flew open. The black enemy gushed out as if it were trying to escape the enclosed area as well. To taunt someone else's life with it's suffocating sensation it brought along with it.
She looked out th door, into the bright light of the world and half smiled. She'd made it.
And everything went black.
But not because of the smoke.

He watched the red vehicles whiz past him, blowing his hair infront of his eyes. Elmer shivered and nested safely in his clothing. And Suddenly he was riding an undead war horse, glancing to the skies watching the smoke mask the sun. With his riding crop in one hand and a carrot on a stick in the other, mirthril spurrs adding a +4 speed boost. He cut corners, crossing the plains with the welcoming applause of hooves behind him.
Stopping short, he watched the flames lick the curtains and churn within their hatred. Dismounting, he stepped forward, gathering in those who moved around him.
Centaurs. Disgusting beasts.
Spears in hand and feathers upon their head, he watched their spells attack the flames. They- they couldn't be on his side? Impossible.
The door flew open, his eyes flicked over to the figure emerging from the entrance. The black enemy gushed out as if it were trying to escape the enclosed area as well. To taunt someone else's life with it's suffocating sensation it brought along with it.
She looked out the door, into the bright light of the world and half smiled. He returned her smile, but she fell to the ground before she could receive it. No! Not another casualty!
Ayden groaned, the smoke and heat getting to him. "Mind blast!" he shouted and aimed his spell at the monster who dared get close. 567 damage.
The man turned having picked the girl and the man she'd saved in his arms. He walked towards Ayden
"Oh no! He's Charging! Too much Agro! Fade!"
He cowered and heard a mighty roar, looking at the enraged beast before him.
"Power World: Sheild!"
But his actions were interrupted when the girl was thrust into his arms.
Suddenly the silence grew to stun him. What had happened?
He looked down and carried her over to a truck. They began to give her oxygen and waited for her to awake.
And Ayden was there, holding her in his arms with a blanket around her. A head ache throbbed, he'd been dreaming again.

Her eyes blinked open slowly, shocked by the bright light of the day. Her eyes looked around, her body unmoving. She felt warm, but she was outside. It was never nice outside. Only some days it was. She bolt upright, her head looking first left, then right. She winced and squinted her eyes as a hammer smashed her head numerous times. She grabbed hold of it with both her hands, inhaling slowly. Her lungs choked up and let out a heezy cough. She held her hand against her chest until the coughing subsided. By the time it had she noticed her hand and scrunched up the neck part of her shirt. Slowly she let go of it and flattened out her shirt.
Looking around she saw red trucks, crowds of people, firemen, police, and the ambulance. Her eyes followed the crowd. They were all swarming around the Bakery. Her jaw opened slightly as she recalled what had happened. There had been a huge explosion and then the whole bakery was flaming and smoking, Tom passed out..and she..where was Tom?
She stood up, looking behind her, noticing the boy who had been holding her. On the ground around her feet was a blanket. She looked at the blanket, then at the smoking bakery then back at the boy. Her face felt hot, but she wasn’t sure if it was from embarrassment or from being so close to a fire.
“Is...is Tom okay?” she asked the boy, hoping he would know.

Ayden had stopped gazing at her beauty and was now interested in the action which hummed around him. He blinked and followed the workers as they raced around. Desperately wishing one would trip and a pileup would occur. He smiled, failing to notice that the girl he held so gently was not very much awake and looking around.
She bolt upright, her head looking first left, then right. It scared the shit out of poor Ayden as he squeaked out of fright. She winced and squinted her eyes while grabbing hold of her head both her hands, inhaling slowly. Her lungs choked up and let out a heezy cough. She held her hand against her chest until the coughing subsided. By the time it had she noticed her hand and scrunched up the neck part of her shirt. Slowly she let go of it and flattened out her shirt.
Ayden watched, confused and pondering his next move. [Raid Warning]: Comfort her. Words flashed before his eyes. He nodded silently to him self and raised his hand as it slithered at his side.
She stood up before he could do anything. The blanket that was wrapped warmly around her fell to her feet and was wrapped in a crumpled manner around her thin legs.Looking behind her, she noticed Ayden; who had been holding her. She looked at the blanket, then at the smoking bakery then back at the boy, he smiled calmly at her confused actions.
And then she spoke, her voice barely heard above the roaring fire and shouts from the centaurs behind her.
“Is...is Tom okay?”
He gulped, blanking on who "Tom" was. It wasn't until the flames licked the sign that read, "Toms Bakery" that it seemed to clue in. He blinked at her, watching them wheel the old man in a stretcher into an ambulance and driving off.
"Yes," he lied, flat out said it; and he couldn't believe it. "He wanted me to thank you earlier, but you were unconscience." He quirked a brow while a concerned expression was pasted cleanly across. "You should come back and stay under the blanket."
Standing up, he grasped the scratchy woolen blanket and held it out to her.
"You're really Brave."

"Yes," the boy said and Sophie smiled. Thank goodness!
"He wanted me to thank you earlier, but you were
unconscience."
"Really? Tom's such a nice guy. Have you ever had any of his
baked goods? Awh, they're sooo good! Especially his muffins the
chocolate chip muffins." She looked back over at the boy to see
his brow was quirked and he had a concerned expression on his
face
"You should come back and stay under the blanket."
Standing up, he grasped the scratchy woolen blanket and held it
out to her.
"You think so?" she asked taking the blanket and putting it
around her shoulders. A CAPE!
"You're really Brave." he said. She looked at him confused for a
moment then smiled.
"Well of course! All superheroes are brave." she rolled her eyes
before spinning, to make her cape spin out and around.
Her feet stopped and she bent her back over as she began
coughing again. It was a good minute or two later that she finally
turned back to the boy, tears in her eyes and said, "I
guess..maybe..you're right." her hand was rested on her chest
again, as if it would stop the pain inside her.
"Will you stay with me?" she mumbled, sitting back down.

"Really? Tom's such a nice guy. Have you ever had any of his baked goods? Awh, they're sooo good! Especially his muffins the chocolate chip muffins." she asked. Ayden sat, sorting out the information from the platter set before him. Food? Could he conjure it? He was a mage. Mages and Priests were good friends, he accepted Tom's class choice.
"Well of course! All superheroes are brave." she rolled her eyes before spinning, to make the blanket that he had placed on her spin out and around. He smiled, dazed as his head began to pound again. But he still held his strong urge to play World of Warcraft, he craved it and it began to take over his mind. He pictured her, a beautiful Blood Elf pally, bubbled and spinning the cloak floating perfectly behind. /dance Her feet stopped and she bent her back over as she began coughing again. This seemed to snap him out of his dream and he suddenly became anxious. It was a good minute or two later that she finally turned back to the boy, tears in her eyes and spoke miserably, "I guess..maybe..you're right." Her hand rested lightly on her chest again, he wondered what her heart beat felt like but dared not to ask. "Will you stay with me?" she mumbled, sitting back down.
Ayden scooted over, "Both of us will stay with you." He smiled, did she know about Elmer yet?
He turned around, cranking his back to see behind him. There didn't seem to be any Runecloth within arms reach so he pulled down his sleeve and held it out to her. "Dry your eyes."
