Merick Froid sat on the ground. The room he was in was made of pure white. There were about a gazillion light shining down on him from the high ceiling. They were always on. Always there to keep him company when no one else was around. Which was usually, all the time. But the scientist people were due to come in any time. He had to get some tests done. It was one of those lovely daily things that he so generously was given. He stood up as he heard the door being opened. Well well, somebody was coming to have a little chat with them. No more long hours by himself. Huzzah! Life was terrific.
The door opened and in walked Dr. Iron. She held a briefcase in her hand and walked quickly avoiding eye contact with him. Perhaps she thought he was an alien–from planet Neptune. Awh no, that couldn’t be. This was just a game. Instead of holding eye contact it was trying to not look in someone’s eyes. Ohhh soo he had to try to get her to look! He smirked and jumped excitably waving his arms to get her attention. But she was unenthusiastically removing her needles from her handy bag.
“So Lucy what am I getting today?” he questioned brightly.
Alas, no response.
“Hold out your arm now dear.” she said and as he did she pricked his skin with the needle. He winced in pain as it burned up his arm and into his chest. Even after Dr.Iron had it taken out it soared up and down his arm pumping through whatever she had put in him. He could feel his head getting dizzy and he grabbed hold of it with his unneedled arm.
His eyes drifted up to Lucy's catching contact with her for a moment before blacking out.
