Today had been a good day, so far. She’d gone to the Laundromat and met someone knew, teaching him how to properly use the washing machine. It felt good to help people. Then, they’d found out they were apartment neighbours! THEN there was the bright idea to go get ice cream! Which was genius, considering it was still summer and ice cream was simply amazing to begin with. She even ate ice cream in the winter! Sophie had decided that Christopher should meet her brother Julio, so they went to her apartment to invite him for ice cream. But of course, him being awkward left. Something about..groceries and meditating machines. Eh, who knows.
She walked with a slight bounce in her step. Her and Chris had the greatest conversations ever. It went from talking about squishing ant hills, to stray cats to funny poses in catalogues and then how disgusting Dasani water is. Oh the chemicals. So good and filled with protein! WOO!
“Ice-cream Ice-cream, I want some I want some. Ice cream Ice cream I want some, I get the ice-cream cone!” she giggled, “So Chris, you know the hot potato song where you pass around something and whoever gets it in the end loses, well this is a game my brother and I made up. Whoever gets the thing in the end wins! AND the other person loses, having to give the other person ice-cream! It’s great!” she explained, waving her arms around as she spoke, trying the best she could to tell him about the game.
She saw the small shop up ahead with it’s bright yellow and white lettering reading ‘LEMON YELLOW’ If she could work anywhere she’d want to work there. She absolutely loved going to the Lemon Yellow restaurant. She really only went there for the ice cream. You could buy it in so many different forms; cone, waffle cone; cup; tub; between cookies; you could even ask them to do it a different way and they would do it; HEY you could ask for samples too! It was all too amazing!
She looked out to the beach a while back. There were two people surfing out there. Her jaw dropped. She knew that Faer Lake was a famous place to go surfing but she never actually knew that people who lived on the island could surf! She..she wanted to meet them! It’d be so cool! She turned to Chris, “Hey look at those people out there!” she said, pointing to the waves rolling around the surfers, “I’d be so neat to surf, don’t you think?”
