History: So he grew up in the charming town of London, England. He had two mothers, two fathers, one half-sister, one brother and a dog. His brother was five years older than him, his sister, four years older, his dog...was three years old.
He loved his family all very very much and they all loved him.
He was a good kid in school, always did what he was told, brought home excellent marks and had great parts in school plays. He was the kind of kid any teacher would love.
In his third year of school he noticed that he wasn't exactly like other kids. He tended to stick to himself, for the most part, even though everybody talked to him and acted like they were his friend. But what he noticed was really strange was that he was invisible sometimes. Not just unnoticed by people, but he could actually, physically, make himself disappear.
He never told anyone about this odd gift he had. He thought that they would think he was crazy or something. However, one time he had brought up a conversation with his sister, Polly --when she was visiting them from her home in New York-- asking her about gifts.
"Hey Polly..?" he'd asked, leaning over the island counter, as he ate his pancakes.
"Yeah?"
"Well, ah was just wondering..." he tapped his finger on the table, trying to think of the right way to ask, "Well, can real people 'ave powers? Ye, know..like superheroes 'nd such."
Polly had stared at him for a good long time before answering very seriously, “I’m not really sure. But maybe. I wouldn’t doubt it if people did have superpowers. It’d be pretty neat, don’t ya think?”
Billy nodded his head, a half smile on his face, “Yes, it would be rather cool.” He scarfed down the rest of his pancakes and went outside.
When he was eleven years old, his mother and stepfather were going through some rough times, financially, so his grandparents, in Faer Lake offered to take him in until they were able to support themselves well enough again. At first he resented them from it, but now he actually enjoys the time spent with his grandma and grandpa. They were the most adorable elder couple he’d ever met. He hadn’t even known them before he spent two years with them. But he learned that they were great people.
Family:
Caleb Butler: step-Father
Susan Butler: Mother
Quinn Butler: Older Brother 18yrs old
Wilson Meard: Father
Tiffany Meard: Step- Mother
Polly Meard: Half-Sister 17yrs old
Wilson and Susan had been together for nine years. In those nine years they’d had Quinn and Billy. Quinn and Billy were five years apart. They were never really close, but still acted like normal siblings would, teasing and punching fun at one another...
But devastating news was brought to the Meard family one night (when Billy was just four years old—Quinn would’ve been nine and Polly, eight.--) It seemed that their father had been having a whole separate life. He had another girl friend, and a daughter, just four years older than Billy. His mother had been heartbroken and could barely make it through any day without sobbing. She refused to eat food. She would only eat dairy products and popsicles, occasionally popcorn.
After a few years went by she finally got over the man she once loved. She became positive and ate properly. She had a whole new outlook on life, and this brought forth another man into hers. Caleb Butler. They became married when Billy was nine years old. Susan, not wanting anything to do with her backstabbing husband, changed the whole family’s last name to Butler. Although she was strongly against Wilson, she didn’t mind her children going over for visits. Who was she to stop them anyways? He was their father after all.
In time she got to meet his daughter, Polly. She actually quite liked Polly. She was different, sweet in a way, but a little bit too blunt sometimes. However their relationship grew, and Susan always treated Polly like one of her own children. Billy really liked her too. He’d always wanted a sister, and he’d gotten one, maybe not the way he had always pictured it, but it happened none-the-less.
He stopped visiting his father when he had decided to move back to New York, where he had originally met his current wife and given her a baby. He didn’t mind it so much. He was never really close with his father. He was always travelling to different countries for the work he did. Visiting time was only during special occasions and holidays.
