Billy sat at a picnic table. The furthest one from the cook house. He didn't like to sit in closer, where all the other kids were--yelling and screaming for the stupidest reasons. He didn't understand why kids had to be so gosh darn annoying. It was ridiculous really, how parents coddled their children. When he was little he always did everything for himself. But no no, there were kids who said to their parents, 'Mommy, I don't want to speak to the lady.'
And the parent would respond by simply saying, 'Well alright. I'll order your food for you then.'
How were kids supposed to learn ANYthing if they didn't do anything. Making mistakes and taking chances was all apart of life. Play in the dirt. Have fun. Make messes!
He looked down at the table. There were three red apples in front of him. He'd grabbed them earlier before anyone had come in to eat breakfast. The good apples were always taken if you came in late. It was the sad nature of life. First come, first serve.
He looked around at the mayhem before him. Kids screaming. Screaming. Being stupid. Gross. It was disgusting.
Cobi over there was picking his nose. Oh..and now...he..was..wiping it on the shirt of the boy next to him.
Oh, and Nancy was jumping up and down, apparently the giggling boys two benches down from her had slipped a frog down the back of her shirt. And, apparently..Nancy didn't like frogs.
His eyes looked up to where the cook house was. The cooks seemed to be having fun. Well..some of them. One girl in there had egg dripping down her face. Slimey, yellow and clear egg goop. Great fun that. But, the guy who threw it at her, well...he was being slapped across the head. Not too fun for him there now.
He smiled. He could so easily start a food fight. It would be so simple. He could just pick up somebodies food and throw it. Nobody would see him do it. Nobody would see, because he was invisable. No, not just ignored and not cared about but really, physically invisible.
He picked up one of the apples, turning it invisible as he did so. He took a bit, debating whether or not he should start a food fight.
And the parent would respond by simply saying, 'Well alright. I'll order your food for you then.'
