Name:Isaiah
Last name:LeBraunt
Nicknames: Sai (Pronounced say)
Gender:Male
Age:17
Height:5"9
Weight:130
Preference:Doesn’t really know...since he can’t...see…
Physical Structure:Tall and lithe. Isaiah isn’t exactly what you would consider strong. Due to his lack of eyesight, Isaiah’s forte is most certainly not in physical strength.
Hair:White, longer on the right side and slightly disheveled.
Eyes:Earthy green. His eyes, of course, never stare directly at people when they speak to him. Isaiah often wears sunglasses because of eth fact that some people find his stares discerning.
Skin:Pale and smooth. He has an assortment of bruises and scratches from falling and/or walking into things.
Clothing:Generally wears what people hand him. Goes to his closer friends usually when choosing clothes, however, he has gone out looking ridiculous on a number of occasions.
Markings:Being eth little dare devil he is, Isaiah had piercings done in his ears, even though he couldn’t see. This was during one of his “independent” stages. He ended coming back with piercings in both his lobes. After getting eth little studs out, he went with Caroline to find himself a pair of suitable earrings. He know has one dangling earring in each, with a moon at the end of eth one in his left ear and a sun in his right.
Inner Persona:
Isaiah is generally an outgoing seventeen-year-old ready to try out anything and willing to take on any task given to him. Although he seems confident and almost aloof to his blindness, Isaiah is incredibly self conscious and has a low self esteem. This of course, is due o his disability. Trying to live normally with abnormal powers is hard enough, but also trying to fit in when he can’t see sometimes is just too much for the boy. He constantly has other people’s minds running through his own which in all truth has helped him considerably with his blindness.
Outer Persona:
When people first see him, especially humans, their first impression is a teenage guy pretending to be blind. That’s not true by any means. His eyes for one, are not covered by a veil of white. That’s what throws many people off. He was born with his disorder instead of contracting it over time. Isaiah frequently jokes about not being able to see, but prefers to wear sunglasses so as not to make people uncomfortable with his eyes that don’t seem to focus on anything at all. He tries his hardest to be normal, attempting things he really shouldn’t, like cooking for one. At times he may try too hard which, generally ends in some sort of injury. All in all, Isaiah is a fun person to be with, especially once you’ve gotten to know him and all the quirks that come with the package.

Sitting still
Fears:
To be left alone

People
Food
Animals

History:
Loretta LeBraunt had a difficult choice to make. In her arms she held a tiny boy who was fast asleep and bundled up in soft blue blankets. She was glad she’d gone through and given him life; even though she wouldn’t be able to hold him in his arms for long. It just wasn’t fair. But what else was she supposed to do? This was better for him. That way, he would be given a better life. What could she give him? A run down apartment and the knowledge of an eighteen-year-old? The doctor came in then, giving the young new mother a small sad smile. She was given some papers and a pen. With a last look at her son, she signed on eth dotted line, and gave her little boy her last and final kiss.
Isaiah always knew he was different. He never quite fit in with the other kids at the orphanage he was raised in. For one, he couldn’t see. He was born blind, which caused an assortment of bullying to be thrown his way. Such things as having toys placed in his path to hiding his walking stick.
And so, Isaiah grew up in an orphanage, raised by a woman whom everyone called Granny. She was a kind woman who paid extra attention to Isaiah, due to his disability. This extra attention, of course, caused some jealousy and bullying to go on. Life was rough, but Isaiah managed. When he turned eight, Isaiah realized that he could hear people’s minds. It was an odd realization; hearing thoughts that didn’t belong to him. He’d always taken it as a malfunction of sorts. Because he was blind, this made up for that. Or maybe it was his imagination.
On most days, Isaiah would sit under his favourite tree and play pretend. It was a game that worked perfectly when he was alone; and so his imagination thought up hundreds of things, each time getting more vivid. He imagined what things would look like. Instead of the dark that he saw everyday. It was on one of these lonely days that things changed drastically. A few of the older boys were making their way towards him, calling out with taunts and such. Isaiah turned to their voices only to be greeted with screams and panicked thoughts. The patron of eth house came running out and soon her shrieks were joined in eth chorus. He didn’t understand why they were screaming so. But it was one of them yelled his name in horror that he realized he wasn’t being affected by whatever it was that was going on. He felt as if he were spinning then, finding himself on a cold floor, still in his darkness, but no longer outside. That was when he first arrived at the academy and began his new life.

Never really had one, though now he considers Kerrie as the closest thing to a family.

How you got your gift:
Isaiah was born with his gift, though he wasn’t aware or understood how to use it until he was about six or so.

What do you think of the Humans and other gifteds:
